Botanical Dyes

Botanical Dyed Silks & Other Offerings

A love for color, nature, and patience guides every piece. Coaxing pigment from bark, roots, flowers, and leaves. Each dye bath is an experiment, a conversation between fiber and flora, light and water, warmth and time.

Botanical dyeing is slow magic. The colors shift with sunlight, iron, chalk, washing, and wear, creating textiles that age gracefully, capturing a memory of their making. Every fold, crease, and drape holds the subtle whisper of the plant that gave it its hue.

I work with silks and other natural fibers as raw and gentle as possible. Slight irregularities—variations in tone, intensity, or pattern—are celebrated, evidence of a process that honors nature rather than tries to control it. Each piece is hand-dyed, hand-finished, and treated with care to preserve its integrity and vibrancy.

This work extends beyond silk. Scarves, handkerchiefs, ribbon, and other fiber-based creations are born from the same love of plants, colors, and materials. Custom requests for one-of-a-kind pieces are welcome—each project is a collaboration between the material, the plant, and me.

I believe textiles and pigments carry life energy, and that thoughtful color and touch can transform natural fibers into objects of joy, ritual, and daily wonder.

Every botanical dyed piece is a small act of care—care for the plants, the fibers, and the people who hold them.

Every part of the process is done with deep reverence for the ancient craft of wool work and the artists and shepherds that came before.
