Hand-Tied Brooms

Every broom is a rhythm and a ritual. Broomcorn, tampico fiber, dried flowers, and leather come together, each chosen for its texture, resilience, and spirit, to create tools that are as beautiful as they are functional.

I make both traditional and non-traditional Appalachian-style brooms, meant to be used and adored. Hand-tying brooms is a practice of patience. Each stitch, wrap, and fold honors the fiber, the plant, and the labor it took to grow and harvest them.

These are not mass-made objects; they carry imperfection and personality. Each broom is meant to be used, loved, and tended, whether to sweep floors, dust shelves, disperse incense or simply to hold in your hand as a tactile reminder of craft and presence.

Custom Lover’s Brooms are available by commission, making them a meaningful and unique gift for weddings, anniversaries, or other special occasions.

I believe in the magic of tools made by hand—objects that bring both practicality and poetry into daily life. Every hand-tied broom is a meditation, a gift of labor, and a tangible connection to the plants and fibers that grew long before it came to your hands. If we can use beautiful tools, even sweeping our kitchen floors becomes romance.

Every part of the process is done with deep reverence for the ancient craft of wool work and the artists and shepherds that came before.
