Hand felted with local goat milk soap, this collar is entirely handmade with wool from sheep raised in Oregon and Washington. Dyed with home grown indigo.
Warm, soft, and naturally insulating, these collars are especially lovely through Portland’s long, rainy season—an extra layer of wool around your neck when the air turns damp and cold.
Because of the wool’s wild, natural character, you may find bits of vegetation tucked deep within the fibers. You can pick them out or leave them be; they do no harm. Some shedding is natural and will increase with brushing or pulling.
This collar is hand sewn with vintage and silk velvet ribbon.
Care: There is no need to wash your collar. If absolutely necessary, spot clean gently with a small amount of mild soap and cool water. If the curls become limp, lightly wet the wool and gently scrunch to bring them back to life. Because of indigos sensitive nature, care should be taken not to use soap on this particular collar.
